Deputy Clerk – Recorder
RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS
Deputy Court Clerk performs a variety of clerical tasks as
required in the Auditor and Recorder’s office.
Duties include, but not limited to recording, record researching,
maintaining documents and files. Additional daily duties are processing
passport applications, county claims, liquor license renewals and
elections. Responsibilities will include
purchasing of office supplies for the county and cross train in other office
positions as needed.
MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- High
school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid
Idaho Driver’s License
- Computer
experience and word processing knowledge.
SKILLS/ABILITIES
Required Skills
- Command
of the English Language – spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
- Ability
to work under stress and meet deadlines.
- Willingness
to work with public and serve their needs.
- Deputy
Clerks must maintain a good working relationship with
co-workers and
other departments within Gooding
County.
- Must
be able to communicate effectively.
- Fast
learner and be able to adapt to change.
- Deputy
Clerks must maintain a good attendance record. Excessive absences will not be
tolerated.
- Maintain
confidentially of office and county matters.
- Ability
to perform Responsibilities and Tasks efficiently and accurately with or
without reasonable accommodations and without endangering self or others.
- Maintain
valid Idaho driver’s license
WORKING CONDITIONS
Deputy Clerks may be required to perform, but are not
limited to the following physical
functions.

Repeatedly go from sitting to standing.
·
Standing and/or sitting for long periods of
time.
·
Stooping to file or perform other job related
actions
·
Climbing on ladder.
·
Lifting of heavy boxes containing files, paper,
ballot boxes, and record books.
Deputy Clerks will work between 35-40 hours per week.
