Detention Deputy 

Starting pay $15.97 an hour Pay increases to $16.50 an hour after certification through Idaho P.O.S.T Academy. Shifts are 12 hours long and you will work 14 days durning a 28 day period. Every other weekend is 3 days off.

Job Description: Deputies are responsible for the supervision of inmates and security of the Court House. Intake and releasing of new inmates, conducting searches on inmates and cells. Transporting inmates throughout the Magic Valley and beyond. Monitoring cameras, phone systems, conducting scheduled checks, inmate recreation, overseeing court proceedings and medical needs of inmates.

Requirements are:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High school Diploma or G.E.D
• Be able to pass the P.O.S.T. Physical test (requirements can be found on the Idaho P.O.S.T. website)
• Work rotating weekends, holidays, day shift, swing or night shift (12 hour shifts)
• Valid idaho driver's' license 
• Pass a polygraph
• Must pass background check
