Do you have the customer service chops to make a visit to the DMV the highlight of someone’s day?
The Gooding County Assessor’s Office is hiring a DMV clerk. The position will require the following:
Financial skills: You will be receiving payments by cash, check or credit/debit card; collecting sales/use tax; and maintaining a cash drawer. At the end of the day, you will balance and prepare monies for transmittal.
Public relations: You should be able to work well with the public both at the counter and over the telephone, and be able to handle customers who can be argumentative and/or belligerent with professionalism. Bilingual language skills are a plus.
Registration/titles: You will become familiar with the State of Idaho required procedures for titling and registration of vehicles and manufactured homes.
Other information:
This position starts at $17 an hour for a 35-hour workweek, with Fridays off. It also offers full benefits, including PERSI retirement.
