GOODING COUNTY DMV

 

Do you have the customer service chops to make a visit to the DMV the highlight of someone’s day?


The Gooding County Assessor’s Office is hiring a DMV clerk. The position will require the following:


Financial skills: You will be receiving payments by cash, check or credit/debit card; collecting sales/use tax; and maintaining a cash drawer. At the end of the day, you will balance and prepare monies for transmittal. 


Public relations: You should be able to work well with the public both at the counter and over the telephone and be able to handle customers who can be argumentative and/or belligerent with professionalism. Bilingual language skills are a plus.


Registration/titles: You will become familiar with the State of Idaho required procedures for titling and registration of vehicles. You will be on the ground floor of learning an entirely new Idaho Department of Transportation computer system.


Other information:


This position starts at $16 an hour for a 35-hour workweek, with Fridays off. It also offers full benefits, including PERSI retirement.


Gooding County is a drug free workplace, upon offer of a position, applicants will be subject to a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
