Gooding County Victim Witness Coordinator
The Gooding County Prosecutor’s Office is now accepting applications for Victim Witness Coordinator. Position is 35 hours a week, generally Monday-Thursday and includes county benefits. General responsibilities include work directly with victims of all crimes, ranging from theft, battery, DUI, and homicide cases. Provide them with information about their rights as a victim and the court process and hearing dates. Provide victims with outside resources to meet their needs. Most duties are preformed within the office; however, this position includes being on call after regular hours. These calls include responding to crime scenes, victim’s home, shelters, or hospitals for emergency situations. This position works very closely with law enforcement and attorneys. Confidentiality, attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal supervision is important. A valid driver’s license and the ability to successfully complete a background check are required. Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field, or equivalent experience preferred. Pay is $17.00-$18.85 depending on experience.
