[ARCHIVED] Job Opening-Office Custodian

Gooding County  Reports To: Board of County Commissioners  

Job Description Salary Range: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour 

Office Custodian Based on 19.50 hours week Supervisor: County Clerk and Building & Grounds Supervisor



Performs a variety of functions related to the office cleaning of the Gooding County Courthouse offices, restrooms and other facilities. Office custodian will wipe down office equipment and furniture, as well as vacuum, sweep and mop floors, empty and dispose of trash, restock disposable supplies, wash windows and other cleaning tasks as assigned.


Education and Experience

  • Valid Idaho Driver’s License.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.



Required Skills

  • Maintain a good working relationship with co-workers and other departments.
  • Must be professional, organized and work quickly.
  • Need to be detailed, giving special attention to each task.
  • Follow instruction of a supervisor
  • Spend entire workday on feet.
  • Fast learner and be able to adapt to change.
  • Must maintain a good attendance record. Excessive absences will not be tolerated.
  • Work safely.
  • Maintain and respect the confidentiality of county matters.

Other Skills

  • Ability to use a variety of hand tools.




  • Both indoors and outdoors working environments.
  • Work involving frequent climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, and lifting heavy objects.
  • Works evenings 19.50 hours per week.
