- NO ONE may visit under age 18 without a parent or legal guardian.
- A valid ID is necessary.
- Phone cards and supplies can be purchased by money being placed on an inmate's book.
- No outside cards or property accepted.
- A list of bonding companies is available at the jail

PRISON RAPE ELIMINATION ACT
In compliance with Section 115.22 of the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Standards, the Gooding County Jail has provided policies to ensure either administrative or criminal investigations are completed on all allegations of sexual abuse or sexual harassment, or they are referred for investigation.

Applications for employment can be made at the Sheriff's Office during regular business hours or can be printed, filled out and submitted to the Sheriff's Office. A background check must be done in connection with any applications submitted.

The County Sheriff’s Office has a marine department for emergencies and river patrol. Boat inspections are also available by contacting the Sheriff's Office during normal business hours.
Fingerprinting is available at the jail with your picture ID.
Application can be made for Concealed Weapons Permits through the Sheriff's Office. New permits require an application, fingerprints and fees paid and are good for five (5) years. Renewals require application and fees and are also good for five (5) years. Some proof of firearms training is necessary for new permits. A training course is sometimes available at various times throughout the year. Please check with the office for details.
